Coastal Maine: Boyfriend jeans & heels

DSC_0777DSC_0771DSC_0770DSC_0776DSC_0761

Hi everybody! If you read my last post, you’ll know I went home last weekend to where I grew up in Maine for a very special occasion. Saturday night I was so happy to go out to dinner with visiting family, and I was thrilled there was enough light to capture the beautiful scene from the parking lot of the restaurant. Views like this are one of my favorite parts of going home to Maine.

I had a few thoughts about heels this weekend that I wanted to share. First, if your main mode of transportation is a car, it is my firm belief that you should actively appreciate just how easy your feet have it. Cars + heels = happy feet. Also, boyfriend jeans + heels = one of the easiest ways to add a touch of glam to your outfit without going all out (or looking like you tried too hard!). Perfect for a night out with family or friends.

I also wanted to take a moment to say thank you for stopping by! I so appreciate all of your support and kind words. This blogging journey is only getting more fun for me, and that’s because of all of you!

Outfit:

Top: ASTR top, J. Crew Factory sweater (old, current season)
Bottoms: J. Brand (on sale!)
Shoes: Nine West
Accessories: Bauble Bar earrings (old), Gorjana necklace (old), Cape Cod bracelet, Bauble Bar ring (out of stock, similar) and ring, MAC lipstick in ‘Pink Pearl Pop’

  1. I find this outfit to be a wonderful casual look. At the same time it is more than casual; the top adds a lot to it. The heels are awesome; a strappy pump. nothing better than a great pair of heels to an already great outfit. ;)

  2. You’re right that having a car makes heels a much more achievable and comfortable option, I’m thankful for it some days, haha! :)

I really like that bright top with the cute long necklace and the casual denim, it’s a lovely outfit all round :)

  3. You really look good in pinks and reds, especially bright shades. Kinda weird though, the background and your outfit don’t really mesh, but the change of scenery is appreciated. I’ve only scene lobster traps and buoys in LL Bean catalogs.
