San Francisco: Silk bomber jacket & tulip maxi

Last weekend I had a whirlwind trip from New York to San Francisco. I had a super fun reunion with a few dear friends of mine, and it made the quick jump across the country so worth it! I spent Friday in Palo Alto soaking up the sun, and on Saturday we ventured into San Francisco. I brought this lightweight silk bomber jacket and easy maxi dress since they travel so well (they pop out of the suitcase sans wrinkles), but as we toured the day got windier (ehem – my hair), and my ensemble wasn’t quite warm enough. As one friend said, I underestimated the San Fran weather.

This week it’s back to the grind and my repertoire of jeans and sweaters thanks to the chilly rain, but happily not for long! On Friday night I leave for a week and will split my time between Switzerland and Germany. I am so very excited for this trip and to explore these beautiful places. Pictures from the trip will definitely (eventually) make it up here, but be sure to follow along on my Instagram to see what I’m up to!

P.S. I absolutely love it when you leave me comments! I know I’m a bit behind on responding to them, but please know I read every one and so value your opinions. I will catch up soon, I promise! :)

Outfit:

Dress: Lush (the way it’s cut makes the length more forgiving that typical maxi dresses)
Jacket: Maison Scotch (reversible, other side seen here)
Shoes: BP
Accessories: Ralph Lauren sunglasses (old), Bauble Bar necklace (sold out, similar), Bauble Bar earrings, Bauble Bar rings here, here, and here

  1. It looks like you had to deal with some intense wind on your travels! Still, San Francisco is beautiful no matter what the weather. And how fun that you’re travelling to Switzerland and Germany next – you’re going to have such a fabulous time!
