Spring to summer: Chambray and gold details

Hi everybody! Happy Monday! Thank you so much to those of you who participated in the giveaway I hosted last week with Annie from Collective Passions. The winner is Lauren S.! Congratulations Lauren, look for an email in your inbox! The response was so great, and I’m so happy that you guys were excited about the necklace and earring set. I’ll be sure to hold another lovely giveaway soon.

In the mean time, summer feels like it’s fast approaching, and I love mixing fabrics and textures during the changing seasons. I love chambray because it feels like it works in any season, and the sheer nature of the stripes on the skirt make it a spring-y piece that can be worn all summer long. What are your favorite strategies for dressing for the spring to summer transition? As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

Bright pink pants

A few weeks ago I set out on a quest to find some fun spring pants. Time to give the black and dark denim skinnies a little break, I thought. And then these bad boys caught my eye and I just couldn’t resist. The thing about pants this bright is that sometimes it’s hard to figure out what to wear them with. My take on it is to go easy with the rest of the outfit. Choose some neutral colors (yes, jean shirts count as neutral in my book) and layer if you need a bit of warmth. And then go about your day because bright pants are so fun and you look great. And be happy that it finally feels like spring.

Chambray top: Black & yellow

Hi everybody! Don’t forget to enter the giveaway here!

I absolutely love chambray shirts, but since jeans are such a staple for me, and I consider the jean-on-jean look to be an art form in and of itself, I’m always looking for other ways to style this top. I love layering chambray with statement pieces, be it a colorful shirt or an eye-catching necklace, and I think this simple pairing makes for a great casual daytime option. What’s your favorite way to style chambray?

If you haven’t already entered, you should check out (and enter!) the giveaway I’m running this week. All of the details can be found in this post, or you can head straight to my Facebook page and Instagram account to show me some love and get your name in the pool. The giveaway is open until Sunday night at 11:59PM EST. Comment below or email me at with quesitons or concerns. I always love hearing from you guys!
