Wednesday. Or as they say, hump day. I thought I’d do a work-wear look today to help get through the week. Since looking good at work makes it way more fun.
This outfit is a little too warm-weather for current New York temperatures (a girl can wish, right?), but since so many of you are in warmer climates I thought I’d pretend I was there too. If I wore this outside here, I would either wear it with tights or with tall boots (as seen here). And a jacket. Brr.
I’ll also just take this chance to quickly profess my love for midi skirts. I got on that train this spring and let me tell you, it’s a smooth ride. They work year round, and can be dressed up or down for work or play. This patterned one caught my eye during the ShopBop sale the other day and I couldn’t resist.
I hope you all have a lovely day, and thank you so much for stopping by!
My first week in New York, and so far so good! I visited with my good friend Eunice during the Super Bowl on Sunday, and in between guac and cookie preparations we ventured to the roof deck to take a few outfit pictures. I know the lighting is strange in this last picture, but I thought the background was so cool and a great way to show off my first post from NYC.
I feel so lucky to have so much support from friends, family, and you, my lovely and kind readers. It makes change so much easier when I know that people are rooting for me to be successful in my new endeavors. And it doesn’t hurt that my new roommates and coworkers are great! For those of you I left in Boston, come visit (and give me some easy weekend plans!), and for those of you who know New York, let me know of your favorite places and things to do (again, for weekend plans…)!
