While I aspire to be creative and think outside the box, I don’t have any illusions about ever being considered artistic. But while art museums aren’t my favorite way to spend a day, when I stumble across something cool and visually intriguing, like this sculpture I found in downtown Manhattan, I really do appreciate it. Or at least take advantage of the situation and snap a few cool photos.
My outfit today features a few of my favorite pieces. These shoes have quickly become my go-to summer sandals, these black skinnies are classics that I know I’ll be able to wear for years to come, and I wear this white silk tank all the time – either alone, with a jacket, or when it was cooler out, layered up under crop tops and sweaters. It’s always good to have a few easy “safety” pieces that you can throw together when need be!
Hi everybody! Happy Monday! Thank you so much to those of you who participated in the giveaway I hosted last week with Annie from Collective Passions. The winner is Lauren S.! Congratulations Lauren, look for an email in your inbox! The response was so great, and I’m so happy that you guys were excited about the necklace and earring set. I’ll be sure to hold another lovely giveaway soon.
In the mean time, summer feels like it’s fast approaching, and I love mixing fabrics and textures during the changing seasons. I love chambray because it feels like it works in any season, and the sheer nature of the stripes on the skirt make it a spring-y piece that can be worn all summer long. What are your favorite strategies for dressing for the spring to summer transition? As always, thanks so much for stopping by!
