Spring to summer: Chambray and gold details

Hi everybody! Happy Monday! Thank you so much to those of you who participated in the giveaway I hosted last week with Annie from Collective Passions. The winner is Lauren S.! Congratulations Lauren, look for an email in your inbox! The response was so great, and I’m so happy that you guys were excited about the necklace and earring set. I’ll be sure to hold another lovely giveaway soon.

In the mean time, summer feels like it’s fast approaching, and I love mixing fabrics and textures during the changing seasons. I love chambray because it feels like it works in any season, and the sheer nature of the stripes on the skirt make it a spring-y piece that can be worn all summer long. What are your favorite strategies for dressing for the spring to summer transition? As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

Outfit:

Top: Madewell (old, similar)

    1. Thank you so much! Haha I don’t believe that for a second! It’s all about getting a skirt that fits you snugly at your natural waist! And, the sheerness of the skirt allows people to see the shape of my legs, which help negates the balloon-ness. Good luck searching for a great one!

  1. So pretty and ladylike! I love that you paired the super elegant skirt with the more casual chambray top. This is so cute!

  2. Ahh I love that skirt so much! I stared at it on the chicwish website for so long because I couldn’t decide if I wanted it in the beach color or the black! Haha I love the way it looks with those gorgeous shoes!! Very chic, as always!
