Leather jacket & suede wedges

I have been wearing these boyfriend jeans on repeat this spring. I can’t help it! They’re so easy to dress up and down, and they are oh-so-comfortable. This combo above is turning into my go-to. Easy tee, fitted jacket, my favorite jeans, and cute shoes. It’s always nice to really ride the wave in that comfort zone. It’s a great fall back for when something more daring just isn’t clicking. What are your spring go-tos?

In other news, don’t forget to enter the fabulous giveaway I’m running in conjunction with Collective Passions! From Night to Day

DSC_0343DSC_0363DSC_0406DSC_0403DSC_0359

Hi everybody! Happy Monday! Today I have an exciting announcement. I have a guest blog post featured on Posh and Spicy!

With this guest posting opportunity, I thought I’d try a little something new. It’s always better when a closet is full of versatile pieces. But sometimes it’s easy to overlook something just because it isn’t in your these-are-my-6-favorite-outfits rotation. Or maybe you bought a dress, jacket, top (etc. etc. etc.) for a specific occasion, and haven’t pulled it back out of your closet since. I definitely do that. So I decided to take a piece I originally bought to wear to work, and to style it two different ways – one for day and one for night.

The main idea here is to combat the panic that often ensues at the thought of dressing for work or an all-day event, as well as for the event you have directly afterwards. You could pack an extra outfit, but that sounds almost like work. Or, you could pack a few key items (pumps, a necklace, and a pair of earrings in this case) and create a completely refreshed look for nighttime. Because none of us like the WAIT WHAT DO I WEAR feeling.

With that, I present to you, the nighttime look! This look is simple and conservative enough to be worn to a nice dinner or show, but has a modern and cool vibe that will also make it a hit at a bar, outdoor concert, or other more relaxed event.

What are your strategies for transitioning from day to night? To see the daytime look, head over to Posh and Spicy!
